WHAT IS EMS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is a full body workout that strengthens the body through a natural process, pushing your muscles to work much harder than a conventional workout. During a 20-minute EMS session, you will stimulate over 91% of all muscles, whereas with a traditional gym workout you may only use 50%. Electrical impulses are delivered to your body through a specially designed training suit containing electrodes, which contracts your muscles 85 times per second, leading to faster results, without the risk of injury.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF EMS?
EMS training sessions can be tailored to your needs, whether you are looking to lose weight/inch loss, tone, build muscle or you require a low impact workout due to an injury. Workout20 will help you achieve rapid and sustainable results, no matter your body type.
IS EMS SAFE?
Yes, you can rest assured! Our EMS machines are completely safe and have been through the most meticulous safety checks to meet EU guidelines for medical devices.
HOW LONG UNTIL I START TO SEE RESULTS?
Many of our clients report noticeable results between three to six 20-minute training sessions.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR DURING A SESSION?
You won’t need to bring any particular clothing or shoe wear along to your session. We provide special EMS training outfits that have been freshly washed before each use. Alternatively, we do also sell these outfits if you would prefer your own. The main body suit worn does not make any direct contact with your skin, is covered with an anti-bacterial fabric and is cleaned regularly.
CAN I CONTINUE MY NORMAL FITNESS ROUTINE?
Of course. EMS training can be used alongside other forms of exercise, but we would recommend not doing any other exercise for at least 24 hours after your Workout20 session.
SHOULD I AVOID EMS TRAINING IF I HAVE HEALTH ISSUES?
The vast majority of people can use EMS training as it is extremely safe. However, if you have a particular health condition that stops you from engaging in conventional sports, we would strongly advise that you seek approval from your doctor first. We are not able to accept any clients with the following:
– Pregnant or breastfeeding
– A pacemaker or other electrical implant
– An acute illness, such as fever, viral infection or acute inflammatory disease
– epilepsy
– diabetes mellitus.
